Very nice, look forward to seeing what you find, check the house if your allowed, to find hidden caches, old bottles, and other valuables. Even dropping coins inside the house, like under the beds and other places. Then start at the front door and around the house.

Re: Got permission to detect an old Farm house!!

Thanks for the comments. The house has an outside water pump outside but not sure on that. I know there is a small one inside that I seen he said I could have.I remember there are old blue bottles that say poison on them inside, but don't know what to do with them. Some still have liquid in them. There is an upstairs but haven't been up there. I know there is a dirt floor in the basement but will need a ladder to get down there. I will take lots of pics and keep everyone informed. Thanks

What are you waiting for? I would be hitting that right now, at least on good weather breaks this winter.

Check that basement every which way.

In 1968 I purchased a Heath Kit detector and built it for my dad. Some years later after he passed I took the thing to a large house that was owned by a mill owner back around 1900 or so. I was convinced that money, ...gold! was buried in the basement that had its floor covered in bricks laid in sand. There I was sweeping away when I got a loud hit on that single-toned unit! I feverishly clawed away at the bricks and dug into the sand expecting a strongbox or something such. What I found was a complete pick, handle and all that have been mistakenly covered. ...And there wasn't nuthin' underneath it either. But that feeling, that bug, has stayed with me.

I still have that old unit and it works. One of these days I'll get it out in the yard instead of my ACE 350.
