new to this
hi everyone
im new on here and i want to get a metal detector
im also deaf and wondering what the best metal detector to buy for a beginner
seen some metal detectors online and the prices are good, also had a look in some stores but couldn't find a metal detector in them, like walmarts and kmart etc, i looked in a pawn store and they have one in there for 80 dollars but there is no instruction book or anything and thought 80 dollars for it was to much for a second hand one

Re: new to this
If you can hear any sound at all I can get you in touch with a friend of mine who wears double hearing aids. He may have some advice to which machine would be best.

Welcome To TNet !
If you are completely Deaf
You will Probably want to Buy Something with
Digital Display.
I suppose you may be able to wear Loud Headphones
& Feel a Change in volume by Vibration,
but Digital Display would at least
help you Learn.
A pair Of Small Phones without The Foam
ear Pads, You can Wear on Your Neck
to feel Vibration may even be Better

Re: new to this
I think you can allso get a unit that will plug into the head phone jack and vibrate to signal a find.

Re: new to this
thanks for replys
i wear two hearing aids and i can hear a good bit with them on and nothing with them off
to me with using head phones is that after awhile with the head phones on over my hearing aids, it will hurt my ears with the head phones pressing the hearing aids in
since i've moved and live near a beach now that i've become interested in metal detecting, seen a few people metal detecting on the beach and thought i would like to do that, would get me out of the house for a few hours and a sun tan
any Advice would be appreciated on
thanks
