my brother owns 10 acres 100 feet from the north Canadian river in okla do you think it would be worth while to metal detect there being that its that close to the river
Rivers are good. People need water and food. The rivers were a good source for both. As well as transportation. If there's history near your place then it may be worth hunting.
Funny that you would post a question like that, and funnier that i would see it. At the presant time im reading a book called "EMPIRE of the SUMMER MOON"written by S.C. Gwynne ( The story of Quanah Parker and the rise and fall of the Comanches the most powerfull indian tribe in american history) This book tells of many places where the whites and indians fought, up and down the Canadian river, and creeks running off of the river. Plus most of the earlier settlers built next to water......Wished I still lived in Amarillo,Tx. HH
