I would recommend starting her off with the F2. You already have a lot of experience with it so you can start her off right. The only problem would be that you cant detect close to each other.

You could also go with a Garrett Ace series or Compadre.

I was checking on ebay, The Auction on the F2 I was checking out, Came with lots of Accessories that were not offered when I bought mine some years ago. Made me jealous..

F2 detector 8" & 4" coils
pinpointer
storage case
digger
And Headphones..

For $215 shipped..

I think I will look at other options for her before making a definate decision..
