    new show

Hey,How Is Everyone! I have an idea about a new age metal detecting show, before everyone get's bent out of shape, just hear me out, i live in wilmington nc and i live about 3 to 4 miles from screen gem studio's the movie studio that did (dawsons creek),i have done extra work for 5 year's on (one tree hill),i now do extra work on the HBO mini series (East Bound And Down) and i will be an extra in july when they start filming (Iron Man3) here in wilmington. My Idea is todo a show where you take 3 or 4 ordinary metal detecting people we put them in an ordinary everyday hunts,if they find something or not that will be ok,we have guest speakers, authors, and may be even a govenor of a state could do a hunt.this is just an idea,,,,i have talked to a couple of producers and they said ,,,,,, put in writing what i wanted to do,,,,, what i would like todo is ask the people on t-net if they would like todo the show.wlth all the wisdom we have here and to show the world what kind of people we are.so if you would like to help lat me know!!!!!!

Detecting shows are OK if they do them like
when Tom & his daughter detect on Gold Fever.

Find nail, say Nail find iron
    trash say Iron trash.

& No running to get the good finds appraised.
especially if they are going to exagerate Value.

I don't want to see someone find a worn
out 1900 Morgan dollar & Haggle with a Phoney
coin dealer or Pawn shop till they agree on $100
Crap like this is what stopped me from watching
    Auction Hunters and American Pickers.
    Too many Phoney values
discriminate out Spike TV and American Diggers !

i agree,,,i was looking to do a show like anything i have seen,,,no nickle dime stuff,im looking to do it like it was made sort of a documentary style with a twist,an indepth, the do's and don'ts,not to give us a bad rap like we already have.it would be more Educational and try to get the people to understand that metal detecting is a hobby and we are not thives stealing history!Education would be the key.

    Re: new show

ordinary everyday hunts would put people ta sleep, esp if nothing worthy is found. producers are lookin for drama to keep viewers watching so i would suspect areas would be seeded or some type of conflict would occur to maintain interest. when these shows start showing elevated finds then it'll spark the interest of newbies with no morals or ethics and the hobby will be in jeopardy of new laws banning the hobby. just ask anyone that used to buy storage units how TV shows ruined it.......
    down and dirty
