Looking For Help With Military "Dog Tag" Research.

hello all

I find WWII dog tags almost every week but never tried to return one untill today. I have been trying to research the name but have not found much. Ive looked throu past posts and tried the web sites listed but nothing as far as service record or any info Can you help

Check your spelling of the GI's last name; I have it ending in 'ham' not 'hem'. I see you have 'ham' for Mollie's last name.

Matt,

Theodore Higginbotham was born in Tennessee on 7 Oct 1921. He lived in Essex, NJ and was drafted or enlisted in Newark on 16 Nov 1942 as a private. No discharge data is available at this time. Mr. Higginbotham died on 13 Mar 1992 in NJ. His enlistment data states at the time of enlistment he was not married but did have dependents.

If you are serious about trying to return the dog tags then I would love to help. I believe that dog tags are a part of our history and should not be sold on eBay but returned to the service men and women or their families.
