The "Dry Ground Blahs" +"Planted Fields" = End of detecting season?

Man it is getting rough to do any detecting out here. I am mostly surrounded by farmers fields which are now pretty much all planted. Then there are the issues associated with dry ground, we need rain badly here. We are like 5 inches behind on rain for the month according to the local weatherman. Due to this I will not be able to dig any yards. Don't want to kill off their grass and also it is getting to be rock hard in many places also. I have had the local schools wood chipped playground areas all cleaned out for a while now. Guess all I can do is pray for rain. Went out the to river area boat ramp the other day and the chances to find "beer can" is at 100%. Found little else, need to do more scouting. Guess without rain the detecting season is pretty much ended out here. :BangHead: Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome and Happy Hunting ! CARM

Good news! We had a couple of short soaking rains late afternoon and early evening. Went and did a bit of detecting. CARM
