ALMOST TO MY GOAL FOR THE YEAR FOR SILVER WHAT'S YOURS

Hello guys and gals just curious about everybodys goals for the year and where they stand with them This is my first full year at detecting so i set my silver goal(clad) at 150 for the year(coins) well one month in and im already at 127 i cant beleive it its been a really good start of the year for me

I think I've only found 3 silver coins in 3 years of detecting. I'm doing something wrong

In place of the silver coins I've found some things that seasoned vets haven't yet found so I can't complain.. [I still will though, UY]

Just one more silver coin and I will reach my goal of finding one again this year. The 65 quarter sure looked like silver as did a 66 dime. I guess they used a better alloy the first couple years they made clad. Not doing anything wrong, at least nothing to be arrested for.

Very nice im hoping to find just one indian head and a mercury I love those

Well, last year I dug over 1,000(clad). Four years ago, my first year I dug about 60 or 70 silvers. Same the next year. Third year about 55, this year 6 so far. You will find that you have to greatly expand your hunting grounds to keep up the numbers. Good luck!

Already driving 50-60 miles and its my frist year hunting trying to locate anything old worth hunting
I think theres alot of old coins around but it takes alot of land owners letting you hunt it ...im having a tough time finding public stuff to hunt that hasnt been changed ..almost everything around here for parks seem to have had major revamps in the last 20 years

Why bother stressing over that and putting undo pressure on yourself, especially if you fall short of your expectations

I'd feel happy to find one over any given time

Setting targets or goals usually means failing in both departments, I just take what ever I find under the coil. Although I do have a wish list.

I set a goal each year but it has never been how many silver, this year i want to find a seated quarter only because i have yet to find one. Or a silver thimbal. Usually its just an item that i havent found yet. It makes it a little more interesting if you do find it.

I've found around 20 silver since mid March, I don't really set a goal, I just have fun and hope for the best. I like finding things besides silver too. Big fan of Indian Head pennies..I like old toys like matchbox and tootsie toy cars...anything other than junk pleases me.

My goal is ten silver. I got's three so far. Seven to go. It wont be easy. I have to put in more time and I have to think even farther outside of the box to get silver. I think I can hit ten. My overall average in twenty years is fifteen per year, I recently broke into the three hundred silver mark. My best year was forty pieces. It amazes me that guys are pulling fifty, a hundred, or more per year. Mind blowing.

What is silver goal(clad)? Are you saying you have found 127 silver coins this year or $127 in clad? or 127 pieces of clad?
