Best state for old coins

Eastern states, yes.... but.... find some some of the old trails heading west. Eastern states have older but because of moisture, may be in sad shape. western and plains states may have coins in better shape. I found a coin in Lansing, IA, near where Marquette and Joliett hung out for awhile. It is about 22 mm in diameter but in VERY BAD shape. Unable to tell the denomination. Check out the "highways" of the olden days! Research! TTC
