it depends on the amount of money you want to spend and if you want to go in the water with it ! i myself have and love the garrett AT PRO it's good in the water up to 10ft deep and only around $600

I prefer Tesoro brand detectors, you might want to read up on them. Sounds like you have a great place to hunt. When you venture out keep yours eyes open, you might just find traces of the rock of chickamauga. But if you do bury it good cause it's might be more than just bother the ghost of John Bell Hood.

There was a battle with in 200 yards of this property if not on the property. My son is going to tag along with me tomorrow so who knows what we might find if anything but the land is 200 acres and has a ton of history . My long term goal is to find a confederate buckle.
