Outer Banx, NC anyone?

I am heading down to the Outer Banx, NC, next week with my daughter and her friend (recent grads) who will probably go their own wa, and my girlfriend might come down for a few days but might not be able to, due to work. SOOOOO... that leaves me a TON time for kicking a few beers down, boogie boarding, and METAL DETECTING on the beaches! (not exactly in that order...LOL)

I never detected on the beach and I am taking down my ETrac and AT Pro, as well as my RTG sand scoop. I also made 2 home-made sand scoops I want to try out, just to see what they can do. I was bored the other day and designed a few scoops and built them.

Any pointers for beach detecting?

Anyone from down the Outer Banx, NC area want to meet up for a hunt some time next week?
