In Europe gold jewelry is sold in many different karats. 875 is 21k, I suspect FF is the jewelers mark.

Thanks TH

I do think it is plated. Some of the high points on the earing have the gold worn down and there is a silver metal under it. When I get home I will hold a magnet to it and see if it sticks. Might be gold plated silver but I doubt it and it does not make sense to gold plate white gold.

No it doesn't make sense to plate it. I don't know of any FF markings that means plating but its possible. I do know they make jewelry in many different karats in Europe.I found small gold ring I thought was plated as it appeared to be coming off, but after using m.glass I discovered the plating was coming off and it was gold underneath.
