Just something I found amusing and thought I'd share.

Ancient remains found in western Wis. construction project | kare11.com

Hope you all enjoy :)

Interesting. Thanx for posting the link.

We had a situation where I'm at, where a contractor's bulldozer started uncovering skeletan remain, and coffin parts (hinges, etc....). Turns out, the contractor himself was a local history buff, on the board of a local historical society, so he stopped his own crews to investigate. It turned out to be an 1850-60's cemetary, that had been lost to current history books info (alluded to in early writings, but no one knew exactly where it had been). Once "bones" were discovered, all the indian rep's and councils or whatever were called. They had to come out, analyze, etc... When it became apparent that it was a post-european contact era burial site (ie.: "white guys"), then no one cared, and the construction could continue :icon_scratch::dontknow:

That's crazy! Construction sites are usually pretty good! I'm from Onalaska, originally and its not the first time its happened.
