Metal Detecting in town parks?

I look at it like this, if you start asking questions people will automatic think something is wrong. And they almost always don’t know or just say no. If someone has a problem I would just say Oh, I sorry, and leave.

Don’t be stupid and try plugging the Courthouse lawn unless there doing a demo and you’re not at a Historical site.

When people see us pulling a big pile of grass and dirt up, they don't know what to think, even after they ask questions. They just don't like it, hey some of them think where no better than looters. Out of site, out of mind.

town parks should be ok, ask at local government office/mayor. If signs are not posted. I found out if it is an area of stone, mulch or sand it is usually ok because you can put the area back to normal where you dug. Don't be going and dig a 3 foot hole in a grass area. I know for a fact that in KY state parks it is illegal. http://www.parks.ky.gov/regulations.htm
