Like to poll and see how many are concerned about meeting your expectations of others. Gotta admit that was sharp as a bowling ball.

You asked me if that was what I expected. I answered you. I too am not concerned with how many meet my expectations. However, the answer I gave you is listed in the rules of many other forums (not this one) and that is simply to read the FAQ before posting redundant questions. I really don't even care so much about the redundancy of some of the questions, but some are so generic that it is really almost impossible to give an answer to. There have been so many of these type of questions lately that it just seemed like it would make sense to give them there own place. There are over 100 categories/titles, whatever you want to call them, from ATV's to stamp collecting on here so what's one more. It would give new people a place to look and check out all the answers to other peoples questions that may have been similar to their own without having to scour the board looking for related information. If this makes me an *** as you put it, then you might just be a little to high strung. Life is too short for that.

What is so offensive to people about a newbie asking questions? I enjoy offering up the knowledge I have(small amount :)) It makes me feel good to help someone out if I can.

I am in no way offended by a newbie asking a question, even one that's been asked over and over. I simply suggested that maybe there should be a specific place to ask those questions. I know if I had the same questions it would be nice to be able to see similar questions all in the same place. For example, if I have a Tesoro question I go to the Tesoro forum, not General or Today's finds.

smcdmc.....I reviewed my response and apoligize for making it so pointed. I took what you said somewhat out of context. I have just gotten tired of the sniping and pulled the trigger. My bad.:hello:

You old guys remind me of a bunch of bored kids out of school for summer vacation with nothing to do. You ruined the original posters thread by getting in a shouting match.
Maybe it would be a good idea to get back to the original thread and stop mouthing off about how much testosterone you all have left.

i think personally that there is no such thing as noob questions we have all asked these questions at some point and without people answering them i know for me i would have giving up awhile ago so im always willing to share what little i know just when i think i have it all mastered and figured out i learn something new your always learning new ways to use your machine theres always something to learn this place is suppose to be for sharing your finds and knowledge lets keep that in mind...H.H.:icon_thumleft::icon_thumright:

E-Trac seemed to be the best I have used (CTX a bit better but very expensive). For the money I would say the Omega 8000 is a GREAT silver hunter. Nice lower frequency that hits silver hard and deep - Less than 1/2 the cost of an E-Trac. Pretty solid VID as well. Great unit.
