Just wondered what most of you think is the best way to clean a button. Just dug a small domed cuff that I am pretty sure is civil war. Can see faint gold left on it but do not want to damage. As you can see in my avatar have dug plenty of CW buttons over the years but the crud on this one is pretty thick and don't want to damage. Will post tonight soon as I get it clean. Thanks in advance.
