From time to time I've seen posts about Mint errors (Lokis Dad has a post about Bicentennial .50 pc now). I've got a nickle w/ double stamp about 30 degs. off center only on the back (it's in a bank box so no pics, sorry). I was told several years ago it might be worth a couple bucks.
As I am not a coin collector, I don't know much about Mint errors. Are they fairly common? Is there a Holy Grail mint error? What would IT be worth? Care to show your found Mint errors?

As to the Holy Grail of US coin errors, one candidate would be a Walking Liberty 1/2 on a 25 cent planchet. The current Red Book (2012) gives a retail value of that coin as $25,000. In general, the Red Book notes that Wrong Planchets are of greater value compared to Misstrikes and Error Pieces.
