How can they sell below retail some offer free shipping? Noticed a few things that are cheaper on ebay then walmart. Where do they get these items? Examle a Lego set cheaper on ebay then WalMart.
They are like pickers. They buy unclaimed freight, Unclaimed airport luggage, Get things cheap at auctions and buy end of run sell offs. A lot of companies almost give away production that have flaws that might not be noticed. So when they sell cheap on the Bay, they are probably making 100% markup. Frank
Get a wholesale license, buy in bulk, and sell at a few dollars more than wholesale per unit. Back in the late '70s, I bought 10,000 pairs of work gloves for $.25 per and sold them for $1.00 a pair. After shipping, adds and a salesperson, I made a few grand just making phone calls. Too much worry, though. TTC
Lots of reasons....remainders, overstocks, seconds, bankruptcies, etc.....probably the main reason though is low overhead....people complain about the listing fees, etc....but keep in mind the vast majority of sellers are operating out of their house or apartment.....so no inflated rents to put a big dent in their revenues.
