Does anyone know if the Ranch is still in business and how does one go to get more information on it.

Long John was quite a character in the early days of metal detecting. I really doubt his "ranch" is still in operation.

Long John's dream is probably long gone, BUT there is a place where you can camp & metal detect as long as you wish FOR FREE. It is The Slabs just outside Niland Cal. near the Salton Sea. Been there, done that. Frank
