where should i start when detecting a park

I was wondering where to start detecting at the park. The playground, or basketball and horseshoe courts, picnic area or by buildings. This park has been here since 1915 and i will cover all eventually but didnt know best area to start.

I would recommend the picnic area or around the buildings if they are visibly old.. See if you can find Arial photos of the park in the 30s or 40s.. That way you will know where things were back in the day...
