The black hole between Montana and Colorado.
Detector(s) used
Truffle seeking pig modified for metal.

The results have been so-so

When the pig fails me (which is often), I am relegated to a CTX3030 *sigh*. Like the dark ages or something.

Hmmm. I'm planning snow for the next 2 months here.

Although, that is nothing new for us. Winter is early September to late May in Wyoming. Just part of life.

Up here where I live it starts raining about mid-Sept, and doesn't stop till
mid-July. Wet, cold and nasty, with Ma Nature typically dropping a foot or
two of snow at some point in the Winter...just to show us who's in charge!

I admin an Astronomy forum (Astroholic.com) and there's always a
"I Hate Winter" thread that pops up every Fall, and it's frequently
contributed to by those of us in nasty climates..

Sometimes the never-ending rain gets to be just like a gall stone..a real PITA, but
at some point in time this too shall pass...

I was thinking the same thing!! We have 6" of snow on the ground, and the top temp for the next 10 days is 33. Oh by the way we have 2-4 more inches on the way. FML
Soil temp at 6" is 30 degrees now, waiting for that 32-34 degree and it'll be on like donkey kong.

Last week we had almost no snow on the ground, then it rained and all the snow was gone. Then that night it snowed for almost 36 hours nd now we have over a foot of snow. Luckly the next few days will be in the 40s and low 50s so it should be gone soon.

You guys in the Twin Cities have been hit hard a few times. I travel up there to visit my mom and inlaws, in the south suburbs. It has been pretty good or bad depending on the way you look at it this year where I am from. We need the moisture but it is nice to have a mild winter. I think total we have had maybe 2 feet all together and only one bigger storm that dropped that 12 inches over the weekend.
