I have a ? about ground balancing. I have read that it's a high priority and have also read that factory preset would work just fine in most situations. Since I am a beginner and only have a couple to three hundred to spend, I'm leaning toward the Ace 250. Sure would like to get a decent pinpointer also, seems like it will save some digging. Don't care, I like digging any ways, if it's worth it. I'd like to have some of these "small" ?'s made clear. I live in western Pa. with rolling hills and woods. Lots of old history that I would like to check out. Don't know about the ground balancing thing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and Good Luck to All Bill

Most detectors today automatically ground balance.
and it is important on those that you manually ground balance
to get maximum depth. especially in PA ground.

as far as a Pinpointer, they can be Very Important, especially
when searching Manicured lawns. and are also a time saver.

You can't go wrong with the Ace 250 As a starter machine. They are a lot of machine for the money. Turn on and go hunting.
