I'm trying to clean up some coins. People say boiling hydrogen peroxide works miracles. If I put it in my microwave on high what time should I let it heat up? Like what time should I put in (1 minute?)

I always put it in for one minute and when it's done take it out and drop the coins in for 3 to 5 minutes and start over with fresh peroxide if you have to do more . Take a wooden tooth pic and clean the crud off.

I usually dry brush my finds with an extra soft toothbrush and sometimes do that with water. Next time I can cleanup the stuff ill put pics up. I found something that I assumed was a coin and ended up being a 1961 penny in really good condition you couldn't even tell what it was before hand. Instead of using a tooth pick (it scratches the coins up pretty good)after soaking the coins in the boiling peroxide use a q-tip it wipes the dirt right off.

A note of caution. Make sure you are using a diluted form of hydrogen peroxide, say 10%. It is used to fuel some types of small jet engines full strength.
