"Gunsil" is old western slang for a young gunslinger. When I was a teen I posed for Harry Jackson, a noted sculptor and painter who was a family friend and famous artist specializing in western themed art. He did a series of bronze sculptures which I posed for called "The Gunsil". I am also in a couple of mural paintings he did. My favorite possession is one of these bronze statues he made for my parents. If you ever get to the Museum of the American Cowboy in Cody, Wyoming you can see me there in the statue. Since I do some "coinshooting" I figured Gunsil was an appropriate name. For you "fossils", I was born in '47, got my first detector, a Garrett BFO Master Hunter when I was 23.

Hi fellow MDrs My name comes from the fact that I spent most of my working life in a laboratory setting. As a Biologist/Chemist I have done quality control work in the food industry and research and development in the veterinary pharmaceutical area. Hence the name Lab Rat. Also I am Pappy to the grand kids. I started MDing in the mid 70's with a Whites TR. I guess I have you all beat, 1945.

Naming a new born in some Native American tribes is a centuries old tradition.

Typically, the father takes his new-born son or daughter outside and names them after the first thing they observe in nature.

Hence, my name is Two-Dogs-A-Humping...

However, the Mission Fathers wouldn't permit the name to be entered into the Book of Records...

Well, Pop said that I was the Prince of the family...so my anglo-name is Stefen...

Don't laugh...how'd you like to be called....

I use to go to Treasure Island Casino to play high stakes bingo. There was a nice floor clerk called Mindy who would come to sell me extra bingo sheets. She was always chewing bubble gum popping it and blowing bubbles and a cute smile.

She always called me rodgerdodger since my name is roger.

She sold me the winning jackpot sheet for $10,000.00

Escape is what we all want to achieve in one form or another. To go beyond our limitations, boundries and restraints, real or imagined. I just like the word and all that it conjures. Freedom.

Funnycide is a racehorse who won the Kentucky Derby. I know the trainer a little "Mott" who lived in Shillington not far from me. I was always intrigued with the name Funnycide and I use it as my handle on "sportsbook" poker as well.

Well, what can I say? my name is Frank and N is another initial of mine. I know we think in pictures not words so I kind of 'salt' my posts with images to the delight of some and the dismay of others. Such is life for a 75 year old from birth to death.

133-Infant in womb.jpg skull etc 013-1-platinum_edited-3.jpg Yes, I do a bit of photography and painting.
