first post "best finds"
I have been detecting since I was ten years old. I have used Garrett and White’s medal detectors. They both work vary well but I would have to say that I like the whites XLT the best. I have found over 200 coins from the 1870 to 1950. You have to put the time in and due research to find coins like these. Here are my two favort coins, a 1899 Morgan silver dollar that I found in a old park in MA. It was under an old tree about 6 inches down. There were only 330,000 minted. The other is a 1722/3 Hibernia coin that I found in NH. It was between two rocks that made up an old foundation. The XLT read loud and clear even though it was beneath 9 inches of rock. A day that I will never forget.
