Weeks ago I ran across a great posting that listed a Target ID Sheet for the Garrett AT Pro. I can not seem to find it again.

Do you happen to know where I can find one?

Thanks for your time and help!

Do a search? I found this is about 3 seconds.

Those VDI Numbers may be a general guideline with perfect items laying flat at a pre-determined depth. I have found that the VID can be all over the board depending on depth, orientation of the item, corrosion or tarnish on the item, the halo around the item, and the variables could go on and on.

That makes sense. I don't own an ATP yet, but I kept this and copied into a word file and saved it.

Well.... It is nice to have the list. However, I believe any reading you get depends greatly on the soil makeup, moisture, cover if any (grass, dirt, etc.), and the method you use.

The latter is more important than most folks realize. Some swing too fast, some too slow, some cant the coil at the ends of their swings, height, and perhaps a few more. The list, is at best, a vague starting point.

I make up my own sheet most detectors differ in different soils............. And if you make up your own you know it is right ... mine could read 75 0n a dime and yours could read 80 on a dime ........ So to me those sheets from someone else are worthless.........

You can not sweep fast with the at pro with stock coil once you hit a signal it takes it a second or 2 to recover to read again...Recovery speed lacks but I like it. I do not pay much attention to the jumping numbers as I do for the solid numbers.
Good luck in your hunts.

I am a new AT Pro owner. I have mastered finding pennies. They always come in at 79-82 for me. I am excited to dig any higher numbers, but how low of a number do you guys dig? Do most people dig anything above 35? I am mostly hunting yards of old houses and am not sure which lower signals could be worthwhile.

It depends on time and where you are hunting. Public Park? Trashy Beach? High Tones are a good starting point. If you have the 5x8 coil it helps narrow down good targets. Right now I'm loosing patiences at digging questionable targets.
