I am considering the purchase of a Tesoro Tiger Shark for occasional Beach & Water Hunting, but I also would like to be able to use it inland as well, parks, open fields and abandon towns, etc. Will the Tesoro Tiger Shark work just as well on land, as a normal land detector? It is VLF and operates at 12khz.

Your thoughts and suggestions will be appreciated.

Yes, I've used quite extensively on land. It is heavy, but very well balanced so it's weight never bothered me, and I am a weakling when it comes to the weight of a detector. I had some awesome finds when I used it, a few barber dimes and even a tiny Canadian nickle coin. It seemed to have no trouble picking out these coins amidst a ton of trash, and some were really deep. The only negatives were the lack of a pinpoint function which resulted in some large holes and the inability to change the machines sensitivity without opening it up.
