Hello, this stone tool was found in iowa a couple days ago. I am having a hard time finding out exactly what it is. Any help would be awesome. I have a large collection of stonevartifacts, but nothing like this. It almost looks like an axe head or maybe a hoe, but the nub there is throwing me off. Please inform me of this discovery. Thanks everyone , and happy hunting.

Welcome to T-net pirateslife.
I am pretty sure it is natural, Any or most axe heads or adzes will show a high degree of workmanship and polish. It will not have that flute or busted area at the bottom either.
Looks like it should be something but is not. You are in a good area and am sure you have found much.

Thank you TN mountains for the response, I didn't think much of it at first, but that nub made me question the possibilities of maybe something I've never seen. Being from Wyoming, the artifacts in iowa would definitely be different from what I'm used to finding here. Thanks again.
