You have to mail them to the treasury. Go to their website, they have the info you need. The downside is that the cost of mailing them will be more than they are worth.

I believe they also pay by weight, so 2 rotted Zinclons may be worth 1 cent.

on the upside upside/downside 10 rotted zinclons in the trash aren't worth 1 cent :tongue3:

Most of the banks here in Arizona don't have coin counters - so they do seem to allow rolled coins to be turned in at the teller counter
for exchange - maybe the way to get some compensation for these miserable pieces is to tumble them clean and roll the ones that are
at least 75 % "present and accounted for ".

I wouldn't add more then 2 per roll though.

I had taken a bunch of rolls of Dirty & Rotted cents to the bank,
Many moons ago. Till I got home here, a 5 Minute drive,
I had a phone call to come take them back :(

I brought a handful of tumbled, rotted zincs to a couple of banks in my city. I was told I would need to take them to a Federal Reserve Bank to exchange them. There are only 12 cities in the US that have a FRB, none near me.

Good info.

I was just going to continue to collect them and see how many I can fit in a Mason jar for kicks and use it for a bookend.
