Just don't use it on anything that may be valuable ! Try it on the clad coins first. Let us know how you make out with it. We are all looking for a fast efficient way to clean clads.

Yes, but it's pretty strong stuff. A coin would have to be heavily tarnished before I'd break that out. A coin dip would likely be a better alternative... and always give lemon juice a shot first.

It works, but so does clothes washing detergent and it is cheaper. Frank...
These two were hopeless. I put them in Wisk in a tube and used a vibrating tumbler for 1 hour.

I was wondering about CLR and Super Iron Out which I use on quartz crystals.
Also oxalic acid.
Iron out and acid are very caustic.
Cleans and devalues well. Lol

CLR will eat copper. I destroyed some pennies testing it as a coin cleaner. I didn't try it on any higher denomination coins.

If you have an extremely tarnished silver ring that has a stone in it, Tarnex may be your only alternative You can't dip it, you must use a q tip to carefully dab the silver areas only.
