Where to search?

Ok, I have a couple of good ideas of where I want to MD when I get my Ace 250 next month. Where do you guys usually MD? I am thinking old parks, river banks, school years, soccer fields etc. Who do you usually contact if you want to go to another town near by to find out if MDing is ok to do in there parks?

Best place to search is where the metal stuff is.

Foundations, places folks dug or dig into their pockets, stone walls, trails, parks, paths, old picnic areas, places the circus set-up on the outskirts of towns, church social yards, places folks draped their coats while engaging in sports, beaches, swimming holes.

It all depends on what you are looking for. Clad and jewelry, I would head to a ball field or beach/river. Old coins would be found in historic places (parks, homes, gathering spots, ect). Civil war relics......well, I would have to move to another state for that
