Why Charter Membership!?

Hi all.
I'm recent to this site/forum, yet will post and comment regularly.
What are the advantages of being a "Charter Member"? Status, sales, PMing Charters, etc? I don't know.
Advertising surely pays for the moderators, site fees, etc. I read that TNet has been purchased recently. By who and why? Upon entering General Discussion, I always view a thread/threat, not to advertise other treasure hunting sites!? Why not! They advertise TNet?
We are a close knit community that needs info from any and all sources.

Really thou, I did it mainly so that I would be able to Trade/Sell things on here...Hell the 20 bucks it cost would cover Feebay fees very quickly..Plus I support this site, as it has been a Great help with all my idiotic questions

Charter members support the site and they have a Charter members area where you may sell and trade.
No Moderators are paid. They do it because they care about the site and want to help Its members and ensure it runs smoothly.
We do not allow others to advertise because we have paying sponsors who do. To advertise freely is considered spam.
You have Google at the tip of your fingers for info from all sources.

20 Bucks, thats a lot of quarters, dimes, and pennys. Is that for the year the day you pay, or is it prorated? If Im not satisfied do I get a refund? Is there a secret circle or club I get to join? Do you have a Charter member only chat? I think it would help if we could see examples of just how great its gets after I pay 20 bucks? Anyone knowledgeable on the subject here?

Casca i think they do have a chat. They have this feature called "Live Posts"..you can see the posts the moment they are posted.

plus they have the ability to search in the archive posts.

My favorite thing is for the selling part. Ive done multiple transactions with no issues.

As TNMountains stated mods are not paid. TNet was sold to it's new owners in March 2012.

Charter Members have a separate tab at the top of the page with a drop down box to include, Upgrade; Live Posts; Live Chat; CM Forum; On Line Games. The ability to use the Search feature, besides the ability to sell and offer for trade, CM do not see the ads on smart phones or in middle of threads on desktops.....

a few other members have said they used their Credit card # instead of Paypal,
