Hi all!
I've viewed recent threads on "star notes". A "star" on a US bill indicates a printing error has occurred on a "run", of bills through the printing process, and each error note is replaced with a "star" at end of run.
Stars always end a serial number.
"Star Notes", are rarely valuable. To be valuable, a star note, must Not have folds or corners disturbed. Basically, they need to be in uncirculated condition.
Zero's also matter. If you have an uncirculated bill beginning w 5 or more "0s", you may have a desirable note. 2009 was a good year for star notes, ie, a serial # of D 00879779 with star, are common. But, if you have ANY star note beginning w 5 zeros or more, you may have a valuable note.
Good luck! Peace
