I've been using an ace 250 for a year or 2 and im not to happy. I live in a town that was founded in 1906 so its not very old.
This town ran off logging and gold mining. I've found trinkets from the 60s and my 250 doesnt seem to pick up small nuggets.
I'm seriously thinking about financing a new detector.
I do like hunting for treasure so I might keep the ace. But I found a gold bearing creek with very little water running through during the summer. So looking for a nice god detector to upgrade, Whats your fave?

Or go for the Gold. Garrett AT Gold. Seriously, if you want gold, get a machine designed for gold. The ACE 250 is a great starter machine, but it is not designed for nugget shooting. The ACE 350 would be a lot better, but for not too much more you could get an AT Pro or AT Gold.

I use a Minelab Safari and am very happy with it. I am getting a little more resourceful with it each time I head out for a hunt. As for gold or gold nugget hunting, I would think a Garrett AT Pro Gold or Minelab GPX 5500
