One thing I am learning about metal detecting is that 50% of the time you're doing research. Studying, looking at things like wash outs, learning how the land moves because of water and erosion. Where people are most likely to hang out.

The place I go I actually went to the area where the most people go. Then I looked for the most direct route to the water. I started detecting there and found 4 silver rings.

It's a numbers game... the areas where the most people go are going to have the most stuff.
