Please if you post a video on Youtube, DO NOT

Shoot your TH videos in a force 4 hurricane! Not only can we not hear you, forgetting the volume altogether would be less annoying (and preferred).

Fill a 6 minute video with 3 1/2 minutes of you driving to your hunt site!! Geee, YOUR 7-Elevens and off ramps are sooo much more interesting then the other gatrillion on earth. And of course, the person is trying to narrate over the stereo which evidently has no volume control. I heard one song that made me wish the guy WAS driving into a force 4 hurricane.

Title your video, "Really Interesting Find", and then leave me patiently waiting through six pull tab finds, only to state at the end that you "find it interesting" that pull tabs register the same as gold! Well no shite Sherlock. There goes another 4 minutes of porn I'll never get back.

SHOW THE WHOLE SCREEN. Yup, nothing like a 23" black background with a 5" strip of video running down the center from top to bottom. I know you saved money on a camera with only 1 function, but I sure hope it came with a warranty at Tard-Mart.

And I don't think that two guys with only headlamps, 100 feet into a cave, are going to win any cinematography awards real soon. Between the jerking of their heads AND the camera, it made it unwatchable for me...and my brother had a seizure.

Oh well...thanks for letting me vent. All I can do is wait for the day when camera's come with a "heavily medicated" function.

After you have watched a few, you know which people you want to watch and which ones to skip over. I see the paltry number of viewers mine have attracted and I can attest to this, lol.:tongue3: Editing a video to only show live digs that produce a good target should be mandatory. Of course "good targets" are open to interpretation.:coffee2:

Being one of the first to post videos of detecting and they were ruff by today standers, and that was February 2009, it is good to see variety of styles. It takes a lot of time to set all up, edit and share. Amazing how far we have come in 5 years.............Now the good is You have the choice of going to another.

um, not all the time. Still have to let the vid load. Fiber optics hasn't reached every corner of this great land yet.

Personally I won't bother with an 18 minute video. There are some good ones out there but I would rather watch a 3 minute condensed version. Then give us a link to the long version.

Sorry, I forgot about the old days of dial up. I just went to cable TV and internet, and I'm instantly spoiled, one forgets that everyone doesn't have it. I do remember the old days though, and I watched very little video at that time, just for the reason you are talking about. If everyone could put as much information in a one minute video as they do in a commercial, we'd all be way better off, even with high speed internet.

Even when we had satellite we watched few videos. Now we have a radio based system that bounces to I think a fiber optic. Much better but still not instantaneous.

My TNet is problematic right now. Did I miss installing a tool of some sort? Just did my maintenance and TNet is the slowest site I visit.

thanks

You guys hit the nail on the head in sooo many ways!!
First of all your exactly right, I could kiss the person who invented skip forward! I usually use it, up to/or halfway through the video and if I'm still not interested, I never will be!

I also know, uh.. what you mean about...um that thing..um, you don't like...lol. It makes one simple sentence take SO LONG. I'm almost leaning forward in my chair mentally willing the guy to say the next word, and almost cheering for him when he finally gets it out.

And you definitely find out which ones you know you'll like or dislike. I saw one on prospecting, where the guy at the start of the video, was really loud, and boisterous, he dressed in a super corny cowboy type outfit/costume...you know, like those appliance salesman in the commercials..."I've sluiced so many boxes, I MUST BE CRAZY". Sorry nut job, you never get a second chance at a first impression, and yours sucks.

But the biggest truth you mentioned in your posts, was that we don't have to watch them. And there are really good and educational video's out there that obviously took a lot of time and effort to make.
Let's face it. It doesn't take to long to see if any effort was made at all. The only thing better then "skip forward", is, "skip all together".
