Not true.......Gilligan finds a gold mine on the island, and Mr. Howell has him working overtime ... However, Mr. Howell sneaks all his bags of gold aboard the raft and it sinks,

Back in the 1970s and 80s I worked as a mate on a charter boat on an island. The other charter boat captains named me Gilligan, possibly because I'm a skinny guy like the original one. I don't know about any gold mine or bags, but the island is off the MA coast. When I was in high school some called me Maynard, I guess I must have some Bob Denver traits.

Here is an odd bit of Trivia.

The theme song to Gilligan's Island and Amazing Grace can be totally interchanged. Sing the words of one song to the music of the other and it fits. The same goes for the old Coke song "I'd Like to buy the world a coke...."

I have heard that, also I was once looking through a hundred year old Scottish Hymn book for fiddle tunes and found a strange version of Amazing Grace. I played it and it turns out to be the same tune as "House of the Rising Sun" by the Animals. I have a friend who sings blues songs and he sang that version for me and gave me the goose bumps!

So...I spelled Gilligan backwards, Amazing grace upside down, and wrote out the GPS coordinates of New Orleans. Then I put all this info into the German Enigma coder that my dad snuck back from WW II and it turns out that the gold is buried at the bottom of a hole full of water on Oak Island...And I can't figure out which of the two islands in full of sillier people!

There was a rock band in the late 70s who put out a record of the words to Gilligan's Island sung to the tune of Staircase to Heaven, it was hilarious, but Led Zeppelin sued them and all copies not sold were destroyed and it became illegal to air it. I wish I had recorded it off the radio while it was still getting air time.

Hey check this out.

I used a website to calculate the numerology of the names of the GI people.
it's
skipper = 2
gilligan =2
ginger =1
professor =9
thurston =3
lovey =4
maryann =1

Add them up and you get 22
Divide 22 points by 7 people and you get pi.
Wow that's odd

the lagoon is in Holly Wood with props to look real there is no island

Where is Roy Hinkley when you need him today? I mean, the guy could make a radio out of a coconut. We should get someone of that caliber to work on the national budget.

(Roy Hinkley was the Professor's character name only mentioned in the first episode.)
