Massachusetts residents pay more taxes than any other state, they're not allowed to own a firearm, and now they can't metal detect on the beache.

I thought this was all straightened out. I spoke to the boss of the Park Ranger that approached me and was told by him from the high tide mark down the State has no authority. As far as MA residents not allowed firearms, I wish someone had told me before I spent $20,000 of my home equity on them.

Ma. hunters - ACTUALLY ALL HUNTERS - should (if you already dont) take pics of returns - trash and dangerous items found
-good deeds done like helping fire or police dept.
and just put in a folder - i sent like 40 pics total to be used in that case - which for the lawyer or defenders was a treasure trove
(pun intended) - i heard a few others added theirs - but lucky
for me I was writing for a magazine at the time and had saved a bunch and had them ready to go when guy notified me of the
case being brought up --if more ...especially a lot more guys were to send in a ton next time - it might be a better wall
then just pics from a few---this could happen in your state next time - if so - drop me a line and you can borrow my pics for defense also

The national seashore is off limits, but all town beaches seem to be ok, there are several dept of recreation sites that were supposed to have restrictions but are never enforced

Yep browser, that's what I hear too.

They are all real busy right now with the covid 19 thing going on, but keep a look out, you just never know when things could be turned around on us.
There were some terrific people here and world wide that stepped forward and made their points known. It still makes me smile the degree of shock our state lawmakers had to the overwhelming response against their about to be law against detecting. Oh to be a fly on the wall that day!
