You know.. We like the hobby so we oppose this "rule". But it you look at this from another perspective you have to ask WTF is the reason for this ? Most MDers use headphones, are quite, hit the beach at the end of the day and are respectful of the places they hunt.

I can't for the life of me understand what the basis of this rule could be..

    Anyone help me out here?

    Bud

To all of our neighbors north of the boarder please sign the petition! You do visit our beaches and enjoy detecting them just like the rest of us! By all means join the battle, because once it's gone we are not likely to get it back.

The more the spot light of attention is put on this the better! The less comfortable they will be in trying to pull this stuff.
The very fact that it was passed on a Friday in the middle of summer when most if them are "on vacation" tells me somebody wants this done for more than one reason.
Just us detecting the beaches would not be enough to trigger it.

Get your family, friends, and neighbors to sign too, please! The more the Merrier!!!
Signatures from across the country and around the world would be welcomed!
If someone hasn't already contacted the trade mags please inform them also. Your detector, prospecting, and etc. equipment dealers!

We all have a interest in what plays out here, because what happens in Massachusetts doesn't stay in Massachusetts!

You could take most on the North East states and group them together as a seperate country and call it The United Socialist States of America
NY, NJ, MA, RI, VT, CT, DE and DC...

They could annex WA, OR, CA and HI as their remaining states.

They all love to restrict the rights and freedoms of their citizens...

We are safe so far, beaches are public owned and about 95% of the 600 miles of beaches are open for detecting beach and in the water, more if you count only down to wet sand.

The Treasure Coast beaches can be detected from toe of dunes to mean low tide line.......

We are also CWL state with Castle Law, and the Warning Shot bill just passed both houses overwhelming and is on Governor's desk to be signed.

Hopefully Treasure Hunter some of this nonsense can be stopped before it travels to other states. Bureaucrats always step over or move the red tape anyway if it's something they want passed don't ya know?

Don't understand why people vote for candidates or party whose purpose is to limit individual rights and freedoms and on what an individual can do as a free citizen.....
