The commercial worked. They got you talking about them, advertising for them, and passing along their name.
Yeah..... don't cha hate when that happens. LOL!
Wait....... :icon_scratch: I may be conflicted. :laughing7:

The OP is probably a State Farm employee showing his boss this thread-

"See, I should be working in the advertising department, not janitorial."
Made me think of the movie "Crazy People". Again, LOL! I used to sell syndicated radio advertising
and took marketing in college.
Well practically NONE of THAT pre-computer knowledge applies to todays techy world! :BangHead:

All ya'll made me LOL, thanks for the thread.
Here, for those who may not have had the chance.......

eta: broad paint brush, everyone/everything..... It's all a matter of perceptions and timing.
I don't particularly care for the portrayal in the commercial.

Thank you for the correction of the name of the company guys. For you other guys, I guess everyone thinks everything is a joke. THAT'S what's wrong with America.
We don't think everything is a joke but we know one when we see it.

So where do you draw the line? Do you even HAVE a line? I guess anything anyone does is ok with you. I stand for something whether any ones else does or not, and please refrain from getting the last word. This is my thread not yours.

of the THer running his coil over the gold chain laden neck of a beach tourist and then YANKING it off his neck!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called them and told then it was unrealistic of metal detectorists and made us all look bad and is making it harder to keep our hobby alive. They said it was all in fun and a joke, I said IT"S NO JOKE.>:(

It's a Farmers commercial and they're a little tilted I think, have had Farmers Ins for over 40 yrs but their commercials are a little goofey. Don't know why they wayste the money on dorky adds as my house premium just went up 300$ this year from last guess to pay for those goofey adds. rwd mo
