of the THer running his coil over the gold chain laden neck of a beach tourist and then YANKING it off his neck!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called them and told then it was unrealistic of metal detectorists and made us all look bad and is making it harder to keep our hobby alive. They said it was all in fun and a joke, I said IT"S NO JOKE.

They dropped it here. They still have the bear, and the dog, but added a grill and the guy catching fire before he falls into the pool.

In a previous commercial they used a prospector on a ladder looking into a bedroom window at jewelry.

They use all animals except the two people who are TH'ers.
What grudge do they have against the treasure hunting community?
I bet if we could dig a little deeper there would be a connection somewhere.

I must have thicker skin as I do not let things like this ruffle my feathers. A person in a beer commercial does not mean that they are a alcoholic. One person in a few thousand will loose weight like Marie Osmond (I hate that commercial)! Insurance commercials showing someone rear ending another car does not mean everyone drives like a maniac. A few years ago everyone hated the Diggers show but now many realized that the over the top saga brought many new members to the detecting world. If things get that bad hit the change the channel button.

funny you say that, I was water hunting Sunday with one of my grandsons when I noticed this Mexican guy swim by with a really fat Gold Figueroa necklace, when I thought to myself it wouldn't hurt my feelings if he lost that chain and I found it!lol! Good luck!
