Bottom line newbie.. NOBODY wants to give up their sites to a new guy. They have worked too hard to find them. RESEARCH, that is how you find places to detect!

If you are looking in local playgrounds or parks, you are looking in the same place as everybody else since 1980. You need to start trying to research places people gathered in the PAST (1870 - 1950). You need to start thinking outside the box, and be prepared to do a little work with your head, not just your machine. Good Luck!

I would appreciate some advice on sites in northern Colorado for a beginner. When I say beginner, I mean brand new, never been outside my yard beginner. Also, if anyone wants company on a search, I'm game.

i would be willing to go 50/50 on a 2 mil cache solve I came up with.....but need someone to go verify if its inside....as I am in Vermont.....

If you are game, get in touch with me via PM...I can feed you information and you can hit them up.....

.....its up in Moffat Co. at an old mine called the "Hidden Treasure"....the same area that is the Butch Cassidy Gang's old hangout in Brown's Park Colorado....bound to be some old coins, possibly some gold nuggets, and silver and gold bars. possibly some weapons or old casings in the dirt as well.....

let me know its a great spot and hasnt been searched at all. Great first find spots

Welcome to T Net Keving!

I do believe he was just asking for places it is ok to search in CO. And a little company to do that with. Terry has listed possible places you may be able to search.

Keving- see if there is a metal detecting club in your area, also there is at the bottom of the forums list "T Net by location". That lists the individual states, click on CO and check there.
There are some members from CO here. GL. HH?

Why is it that some people seem to get off on belittling others? This is a place where newbies come to learn. Being a bully is just wrong. if you can't help with a posters question, just ignore it.

dude emailed me and were teaming up....

...ive never been to colorado so its cool for me to go........I gave out a few areas to go looking for bars and coins, but its a chance vacation so i said Ill throw in the 50/50 split for the "Forrest Fenn" treasure solve I have put together.

Its like a bonus round.....LOL....just a drive by on a legendary part of american frontier soil....for a new guy to the scene, Id say thats a mighty nice offer, and some beautiful country he's never seen before as well to mine for Hidden Treasures from the Butch Cassidy Gang......

Thanks to the admin for keeping the site running.....pretty cool place,

and yeah there are haters everywhere on the net, so expected it here too....lol

Did I not follow the rules somehow??
