I have a test kit for gold and silver and a diamonds tester....now if I could just find some rings!!!!!!

Usually what your detector tells you is under the coil is your first clue. If I get a zinc or copper reading on my M6 it usually it is a junk ring. If how ever it says aluminum, or bounces around in the coin range it's something good.
Sometimes if it is old or from a foreign country it maybe a good ring but not marked.
Hopefully someone has info for ID'ing them for you. GL. HH!

If they read in the zinc range , have had some that were marked as sterling. Have had thin silver plated copper rings read in the pull-tab range. Have had white gold rings read like foil. Have had larger 14k gold rings read like low pull-tab range. Checked a wedding band fairly solid it reads in mid pull-tab range for me.

The rings that are not marked lately that I've been finding have been low reading between like a buffalo nickel and a 22 bullet. Don't know if they are stainless steels or tungstens or titanium.

YOUR TUNGSTENS AND TITANIUMS ARE USUALLY ALWAYS MARKED - CANT SAY THE SAY FOR STAINLESS - THERE ARE ONES FROM QUALITY COMPANIES - THEN THERE ARE CHEAPO COMPANIES THAT MAKE THEM FOR TOURISTS - SOME OF THE STAINLESS ONES WILL STILL STICK TO A MAGNET- ESPECIALLY THE CHEPO ONES
TITANIUM IS LIGHT LIKE ALUMINUM
TUNGSTEN IS HEAVY

Have a ID figured out on that one ring it is a Cobalt, knew it was something different, found out from another guy showing pictures of his ring and saying Cobalt.
