I have had my AT-PRO for about one year and not to be cocky but I thought I was on my way regarding mastering the machine! I was beginning to think that this hobby is not that hard to learn. Well, my AT-PRO took me back to school today. Here is the picture: I am detecting at a site where a old farm house to be, the weather is hot, I come armed with my PRO along with my Garrett pinpointer and all the rest of "the stuff". I am in the Pro Coin mode and immediately get some killer signals. I hit the dry ground and can not wait to see my coins! This was not to be as all I found was a few porcelain washer parts, some nails, a large metal gasket, and a 1965 penny! Today the AT- PRO made me realize that I am not as good as I thought I was!

It is always part skill and part luck. Next time you will hit it.

My experience aroung old farm houses is similar. Lots of old parts and other relics of dubious value and once in a while, if lucky, an older coin.
