seriously? doesn't anyone actually check their source before believing everything they read?

"World News Daily Report is a news and political satire web publication, which may or may not use real names, often in semi-real or mostly fictitious ways. All news articles contained within worldnewsdailyreport.com are fiction, and presumably fake news. Any resemblance to the truth is purely coincidental, except for all references to politicians and/or celebrities, in which case they are based on real people, but still based almost entirely in fiction. - See more at: http://worldnewsdailyreport.com/disclaimer/#sthash.avicTxrF.dpuf"

LOL, well they sure got me hook line and sinker! I guess I shouldn't post things from work, when I haven't had a chance to vet them thoroughly!

While that story may not be true...it's not totally out of the realm of possibility! There is a known viking settlement in Newfoundland and this was found in Maine. Welcome to Maine State Museum I sure would like to put my coil over one of those :)

"Viking Ship Found at the Mouth of the Mississippi."

But the article says it was near Memphis? I'm a dumb Yank but I know Memphis is 400 miles or so North of the mouth of the Mississippi. ;-)

There are Indian legends of red haired giants in the north central region and elsewhere.

A Crow Indian told me that they knew about the Vikings. They came through their territory heading south.
