I have been primarily a park hunter. I have had a lot of good finds. But I am also seeing my finds dropping as I have hit these hard as well as other detectorists here. I was thinking about detecting some walking trails here as this is a college town and there are many trails the kids like to jog here. Has anyone got some experience with these? Are they worth my time?

Give it a try. I would check out the benches, around the stretch posts and any comfortable spot below a shade tree along the route.
