Wife asked a little while ago how much would the new water detector cost. I told her I haven't done enough research to see which one I would get. It would probably be used mostly in fresh water, with an occasional trip to the beach. Strange her suggesting ??? Any help will be appreciated. RJ

I found water with a Willow branch in the shape of a sling shot cost............ "Priceless" :)

You have some choices if sticking to fresh water, You don't say your price range, but you can start by researching the Garrett AT Pro and Tesoro Tiger shark for starters...

Fresh water and salt water are 2 totally different environments....

After considering the willow branch for awhile, I think I'll go with the Tesoro Tiger Shark. Thanks RJ

Yes sir I do. I've had the Vaquero for several months now and don't think that will be a problem for me. Thanks RJ

Yes, only one tone but a whole lot of sounds within that tone. Shoreline hunting, for example, I can pretty much tell I have a coin by the short sharp tone. In the water, gold has a soft mellow sound while aluminum is a loud squeal. And water hunting, most of the time you dig everything anyway.

The saltwater beaches I hunt have 5 times as many iron targets as other targets. No way would I dig every target.
