So I'm in this facebook group that represents the town I live in. We've got like 6k people in it so I offer now and then to help people find jewelry etc if they lose it in the yard and whatnot. So yesterday, I get the call and I'll be looking for a mens weddiong band tonight after work. Wish me luck! It's only a 20x20 area so it shouldn't be too difficult. Who knows, maybe he lives in a 1800's plantation and will let me detect the whole yard lol haha!

I've done this many times. To keep the crank calls at bay I charge $25.00 up front since some people just wanna see the nerd look for something that isn't there. This is for about two hours of searching and I usually give the money back if I didn't have to drive to far. Make sure there is no electric dog fences or security systems turned on or detectors won't work. Good Luck.

I've gained access to many sites by finding lost jewelry,keys and property pins.On one site the owner turned out to own several tracts in an area that saw some civil war action.Also, when asking for permission to detect private property, I always tell the landowner any personal items will be returned to the family,any trash items will be removed and the site will look as if I had never been there.
