I found out about this stuff when wiring up lights on my car, and thought it would be a great seal for a coil cover. Just brush around the crack of the coil cover and it will keep out all the sand and dust. It seals up great and can be removed if needed for some reason. only $6.00

I sand about half the lip off that holds them on so its easier to get off when needing to clean as even a pinhole in the sealant will let dirt and water in and as hard as they are to get off in the first place it just makes matters worse. HH
