Several Martian meteorites have been found to contain what some think is evidence for fossilized Martian life forms. The most significant of these is a meteorite found in the Allan Hills of Antarctica (ALH 84001). Ejection from Mars seems to have taken place about 16 million years ago. Arrival on Earth was about 13 000 years ago. Cracks in the rock appear to have filled with carbonate materials (implying groundwater was present) between 4 and 3.6 billion-years-ago.

Yea problem is how do they know for a fact it came from Mars &
not somewhere else in space with the same rock structure ?

Add to that How do they know it even came from Space ?

also 13 000 years, gives it plenty of time to be contaminated here.

Consider as it entered the earths atmosphere It became a fire Ball &
most of its impurities Burned off.
it may have been close to melting.
Then it hit the earth & cooled.

although Life in space is a Given, meteorites are the least likely carriers to earth.

I do think the scientists know this.
I think the purpose is to ease us into the fact life does exist out there.
as long as there is serious denial, they know what percentage
of Humans will go insane/psycho when alien beings are in front of them.

Did they have satellites tracking it ?
seems to me if they know this, they are already holding back too much info.
